Latest reviews of State Farm Canada app for iPhone and iPad
Nice product
Not sure if Im doing this wrong but to me, the whole point of getting the Statefarm App is to be able to get my account info, not something thats going to track my driving.
Hi dev team I think you need to review your geolocation algorithm There are two major problems in there 1 iPhone gets location data from two sources: gps and wifi. It creates a mess when I get into an area where there are hundreds of wifi spots and weak gps signal. Adding to that a number of roads like on a parking lot and we get a path that runs across entire parking lot with overspending. This happens when I commute on train and it has a stop nearby parking lot (Whitby GO station Ontario). The processed path looks like I jumped from the train, had a run over entire parking lot and turned back. Everything in two minutes or even less. The solution for that is to correlate acceleration with location. If location moves quickly with no acceleration before and slow starting speed, then the location is not accurate and need to be approximated. I would ignore this problem (by marking the trip as train one) if you would not have the second one. 2 My commute consists of 20min driving and 1hour train trip. I am just in time for my train so that there is no wait time. You algorithm does not split the trips onto separate ones. Together with problem 1 it gives significant degradation of the scores. The solution is to split the path if the following happens 1 slow speed 2 train station nearby (first occurrence) 3 distraction (change of the device position means I am out of car and rushing to the train) I am sure you have full data with all train stations Thank you Konstantin
Still doesnt support iPhone 6 display natively. Disappointing.
This app makes things up as it goes along. It has assumed we have driven through houses, and gives a bad score for walking. Distracted driving... pulling into the Starbucks car park, walking into the store, then driving back onto the road ( and no, cup was not in hand!). Havent had it long enough to see if we actually get a discount (should be around 20%).
